Don’t let other people think for you. Just because friends or movies say live your life one way doesn’t mean you have to mindlessly follow that. Think for yourself.
People now days think that having a bf/gf is an achievement, that it validates you, that’s total crap, even the worst people who ever lived had a gf/bf at some point in their life. Some of the greatest died alone. Thinking for yourself and choosing to be awesome is the best thing you can do even if nobody else sees it. People are often just looking out for themselves and won’t want to get close to someone who makes a difference in the world because it makes them feel crap about their selfish ways. Forget them.
YOLO right? Well do you want to spend that one life chasing pleasure or status or impacting lives for the better and gaining wisdom? You really want to lower your standards or ignore your conscience to get laid or feel good or make money or will you stand up for what is good and right and let those good things come to you in due time, soul intact, to enjoy them without regret?
And if you’re a virgin don’t buy into the lie that you have failed somehow, the only reason people mock virgins and try to make it seem bad is because they are justifying to themselves that they made the right choice when deep down they know it was wrong, nobody who saved themselves for marriage mocks virgins, only those who didn’t. haters gonna hate. and you hold on to that virginity and don’t give it up because the greatest gift you can ever give a future partner is having nothing to compare them with and the beauty of sharing something with them that you’ve never shared with anyone else.
I feel like I’m the only person who sees things this way, its so clear to me, so clear. and it breaks my heart seeing good people compromising and giving in to a way of thinking they know is wrong, but once they’ve gone there the only way to keep the guilt and remorse at bay is to convince themselves that its ok, to buy into the lie themselves and start mocking the people who haven’t screwed up yet. they harden their hearts and silence the conscience and start chasing pleasure no longer concerned with being good and existing to help others.
this might be a heavy but its for those who need to hear it, if you disagree that’s cool, maybe I’m wrong (I don’t think I am but…) I don’t judge anyone and you can live how you want but there’s enough voices shouting sleep around I think there’s space for at least one saying STAHP!!!
